Switchboard allows you to add shortcut icons for calling or texting your favorite contacts directly to your home screen.

Who wants to go all the way into the phone app, find your contact, and tap their phone number to call them? What you really want is to be able to add an icon *DIRECTLY* to your home screen that you can tap and call them with.

That's exactly what Swtichboard does.

Using Switchboard, you can pick your favorite contacts and add shortcut icons to your home screen that, when tapped, will call or text that particular contact. The icons show the person's profile picture from your address book, and can even be configured to contain a message to automatically text to them. It's great!
