Calendar

Tasks

You can create a project called “Birthday Party” in the Task View then enter a Task, called “Birthday Cake”. Now you set up subtasks: “Order Cake” and “Pick up cake for party”. Add a location-based alert to the task to be reminded as you drive past the bakery, and attach the phone number of the bakery, from your Contacts list, to the task so you can call and check on the order directly from Pocket Informant. Don’t forget to attach a photo of last year’s cake disaster to remind you why you’re ordering the cake instead of doing it yourself! All of this, in one powerful tool. Sync
Ooops! You’re going to need some help; you need your spouse to take care of the cake while you tend to other party things. You can spend a lot of time texting or emailing all of the information, or you can let Pocket Informant do the work. If you and your spouse share a common sync source (Google, ToodleDo, or Pocket Informant Online) they will already have all the information they need right in their copy of Pocket Informant and they can get that cake for you. You can look at the “Birthday Cake” Task, and know at a glance if the cake was picked up by checking the completed tasks. After the last guests leave, you can look at your Pocket Informant Calendar and see the party already scheduled for next year (as a recurring event), and as you complete the last Birthday Party task and mark the project complete, it will regenerate itself for next year too, gently reminding you about next year’s “Birthday Party” Project.
